About Me

Hi there! 

My name is Georgia Bruce.

I am a qualified Equine Behaviour Consultant with the IAABC (International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants.) I'm also a level 1 Dressage Judge and a qualified Dressage Coach with Equestrian Australia.

I have ridden successfully up to FEI level in open dressage.I have also represented Australia on 12 occasions in Dressage. Including the Trans Tasman Challenge New Zealand, The Dutch Open, twice at the World Para Dressage Championships as well as the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens and the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. Where I won 2 bronze medals riding the 18hh gelding Victory Salute. I was on the Australian National Paralympic Dressage Squad from 1999 - 2009.

I have worked in many top level training stables in both dressage and jumping in Australia and overseas. Including working for Grand Prix competitors in Dressage and Jumping including: Christine Doan, Hubertus Schmidt, Kerry Mack, Carolyn Lieutenant, Chris Chugg.

My mentors include Carolyn Lieutenant, Kim Weston, Matty Sormani, Geoff Blacklock, Christine Doan and many more...

As well as performance horse training I also enjoy teaching horses liberty and tricks.

My passion is animal learning, training and behaviour analysis. I began using clicker training with horses and other animals in 1998.

I love teaching people and horses. Empowering horse owners with the knowledge and skills to build positive relationships with their horses and achieve their training goals. 

I believe the future of horse training is the artful combination of modern behaviour science, ethology and biomechanics together with the wisdom passed down from the old masters in horsemanship and dressage. 

I have extensive experience working with young horses, wild horses and retraining horses with behaviour problems through to advanced performance in Dressage, western, liberty and tricks.

I have been doing clicker training clinics, lessons, education and entertainment since 1999. 

My horse "Rumba the Wonder Horse" is one of Australia's most famous horses. 

He has an extensive repertoire of tricks and can also perform Grand Prix dressage both on the ground at liberty and under saddle, bridleless. Rumba has performed at many of the top Australian equine events including Equitana and the Melbourne Cup. Rumba has been on TV and also starred in several viral videos including the "Git Up Challenge" and a Sleepy Time Video. Rumba's videos have been viewed over 50 million times around the world.

As well as Rumba, my team of Horses currently also includes "Angel", a Welsh cob x Arabian Warmblood mare and a warmblood gelding called "Joey".

I have spent the last 5 years creating my online course the Equine Clicker Academy, which now includes over 150 step by step videos. The online course also has a positive and supportive online community. 

Modern technology has made it easier than ever before to connect with people around the world and share knowledge.
